Orcas Net, Inc.

Our Company

How We Started

Members of the Orcas Net team began building relational database applications back in the 1970s for clients such as Shell Oil, Campbell Soup and Winchell's Donuts. The company became an early leader in using the Internet as a platform for business applications. In 1998, Orcas Net formed a relationship with CUSO Financial Services, L.P. (CFS), a full-service broker-dealer and registered investment advisor. Initially focused on offering investment services exclusively to credit unions, CFS and its associated broker-dealers later expanded to serve banks and independent advisors, as well.

Breakthrough Technology

Orcas Net developed dataVISION™, an integrated financial contact management system which includes contact database, calendar, and interactive forms, as well as a document imaging/workflow system, including reporting and storage capabilities. This breakthrough technology provided the ability to manage contacts, investments and forms entirely in the digital realm, bringing huge efficiencies to CFS and its clients.

December 31st, 2015 CFS purchased the dataVISION software from Orcas Net and hired all of the Orcas Net employees except Bill Wulff and Sommer McKenzie.
